MEMBERSHIP OF THE NDFA
There are two NDFA membership categories:
FULL MEMBERSHIP (NDFA-affiliated festivls): £45
Open to:
Amateur Theatre Festivals in the British Isles.
Who is it for?
Festivals, so that their winning entries can be considered to be eligible for the National Drama Festival.
Once an NDF member, the festival becomes known as an ‘NDFA-affiliated Festival’, and their winning productions are invited to apply to participate in the National Theatre Festival (NDF) provided they’ve gained over 80 points (or for another reason, at the discretion of the NDFA).

Other benefits:
The Festival …
- … receives two Full Festival tickets (worth £60 each based on 2025 ticket prices)
- … also receives two Full Festival tickets for each production selected to go through to the National Theatre Festival
- … is featured on www.ndfa.co.uk as an NDFA-affiliated Festival
- … benefits from promotion by the NDFA using its social media channels
- … is providing a benefit to the groups participating in their festival
- … has the entry fee for the National Drama Festival waived for all successful groups
- … has voting rights at the AGM
- … is eligible for any self-penned plays performed, to enter the Derek Jacobi Playwriting Award

Any individual wanting to support the mission of the NDFA, thereby supporting the amateur theatre world.Benefits:

- A way to purchase their tickets through the NDFA instead of online
- A free NDF programme
- Names on the website and in the programme if you would like (‘with thanks to’ …’ for your support)
